What a wonderful start to my BigBang reading! I throughly enjoyed the many ways you spun canon and AU together to a perfectly entertaining and intrigueing whole. Merlin being magic, Arthur being a prince, a talking animal going cryptically on about destiny; all of that perfectly written and handled to great effect. I especially loved the description of Merlin's magic when he allowed it to run gloriously free , and Merlin and Arthur's 3 sweet days of intimacy, cuddling and closeness. Loads of truly hilarious and slightly surreal stuff throughout the fic, but always that melancholic undercurrent of... Sadness? Loneliness? Longing for emotional connection? Very well done.
This comment would get overlong if I were to go on about all that I liked, but let me just mention two things more: Will - he was absolutely delightful in his unimpressed best-friend no-nonsense attitude. (Will and Morgana?!? Oh my!) And the sex scenes were hot *and* tender - perhaps especially that first glory hole encounter.
