You showed how completely Merlin had broken down Arthur's inhibitions when he could look at the squalor Merlin lives in with warmth and fondness. You know he's completely besotted when even discarded PBR cans and dildos littering the living room are endearing!

I love the way Merlin seeped into Arthur's pores and took root in his life and Arthur doesn't just let it happen but embraces the color and exuberance that Merlin brings. Arthur doesn't trust that this isn't the same color and exuberance that Merlin is sharing with several men but he doesn't want to lose what Merlin has on offer, whatever it means. When Arthur finally, finally discovers that Merlin's not sharing and the emotional floodgates are allowed to fall, Arthur is lost. It's a stunning relief.

Kingdom representing an almost overwhelming love letter to Arthur is wonderful. It shows how far Arthur's come that it's a public love letter Arthur no longer has to steel himself to accept. Arthur happily giving his permission to be Merlin's muse was lovely.

That confrontation with Uther was wonderful. Merlin's worth stepping out of the closet for. Merlin's worth being happy for.

I loved every bit, but some lines and scenes really sang:

This made me laugh: There's a streak of dirt that runs up his neck that Arthur has an alarming urge to lick off. Merlin has obviously turned him into some sort of dirty hippie. Hahahaha! Being in love has twisted Arthur's sensibilities. It's wonderful.

This sleepy declaration was incredibly intimate: "I just wanted to take our picture," Merlin says when Arthur is sinking into sleep. "We're real and I wanted you."

I can totally see what Arthur loves about this endearingly loopy Merlin: "You want me to cut work to take hallucinogens?"

"And go to the Tate Modern with me."

Arthur looks down at the basket of strawberries, the thermos of what he assumes is peyote tea and the cactus. "What's the cactus for?"

"I just liked it so I bought it at Tesco," Merlin says with a dopey smile. "Its name is Mordred and he's going to live in your office if you don't get fired."
Arthur should just quit and take his cactus and his Merlin on permanent sabbatical. Why would Arthur ever want to go back to work when he has this man in his life? He should make it his life's work to keep Merlin pantsless and happy and snapping photographs forever.

It all made for a fantastic read.
